Nutrition

Women and Children’s Health

WHO has proposed a Global Action Plan (GAP) framework to attain Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets to end all forms of malnutrition by 2030. Our intervention will extend micronutrient supplements, including iron and folic acid tablets to reproductive age and pregnant women in line with the GAP. It promotes age-appropriate infant and young child feeding and care practices and sensitizes adolescent girls to nutrition and reproductive health.

Midday Meal Program

In partnership with the Foundation, we provide nutritious meals for pregnant and lactating women. Children under six years of age are provided with healthy meals through Anganwadi centres. The initiative deals with the burden of undernutrition and hidden hunger and lays a strong foundation for children’s survival, growth and development in the early years. The supply of mid-day meals to schools improves nutritional status and educational attainment and achievement.
